About The Position

IWI Motor Parts, a division of Parts Authority, is seeking Delivery Drivers for newly created career opportunities. Parts Authority is a leading national distributor of automotive replacement parts, tools/equipment and transmissions, founded in 1973 and rapidly expanding with over 300 locations nationwide. The Delivery Driver is a pivotal role, serving as the main point of contact with customers and responsible for fostering strong client relationships.

Requirements

  • Current, valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to meet company insurance requirements (drivers must be 21 years old or over).
  • Current valid automobile insurance with your name on the policy.
  • Ability to lift, move, push and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to handle prolonged sitting.
  • Ability to manage, track and account for money transactions and reconcile customer credit and debt balances.
  • Ability to utilize a tablet and/or mobile device for purposes of navigation/route optimization, tracking and customer interface/signature capture.
  • Exceptional customer and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate effectively, professionally, with tact and diplomacy.
  • Ability to take and follow directions and work well with others as part of a team.
  • Must meet all minimum requirements and qualifications to be eligible to drive for Parts Authority.

Nice To Haves

  • Auto Body Parts Collision Drivers must be able to lift 75 lbs.
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Previous delivery driving experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Pick up and drop off automotive parts, adhering to assigned routes and time schedules.
  • Ensure orders are properly fulfilled, satisfy customers, and maintain work safety.
  • Load, transport, and deliver items to customers or businesses in a timely, friendly, and courteous manner.
  • Review orders before and after delivery to ensure completeness, correct charges, and customer satisfaction.
  • Take and follow directions from dispatcher, adhere to assigned routes, follow time schedules, use route navigation apps, and alternative routes when necessary.
  • Utilize knowledge of the area to deliver packages to customers on time.
  • Assist with loading and unloading items from vehicles.
  • Provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and professionally handle complaints and concerns.
  • Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
  • Accept payments, prepare reports including invoices, return forms, reconcile debt and credit, and all moneys collected related to deliveries.
  • Complete daily maintenance checks on the company delivery vehicle and notify the manager of any issues.
  • Assist in any and all other store/warehouse duties (stock, parts pulling etc.) as assigned.
  • Maintain and promote workplace safety.
  • Secure and transfer cash or other assets.
