About The Position

The Delivery Driver delivers products by car to customers’ doors and distributes flyers and door hangers. The role also performs general store team-member duties, including operating equipment, stocking ingredients and supplies, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. Drivers must navigate the designated delivery area, including adverse terrain, multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying products. Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
• Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
• Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites, while carrying products.
• Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and co-workers.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; may use a calculator.
• Ability to make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
• Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality-control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
• Ability to handle physical tasks that include standing, walking, sitting for paperwork, lifting and carrying, pushing and pulling, climbing, bending, crouching, squatting, and reaching.
• Ability to unload deliveries and handle cases weighing up to 50 pounds; some items and trays must be carried or moved as described in the posting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products by car to customers’ doors.
• Deliver flyers and door hangers.
• Read maps and locate addresses within the designated delivery area; navigate adverse terrain and delivery sites, including multi-story buildings.
• Operate store equipment.
• Stock ingredients and supplies from the delivery area to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
• Prepare products.
• Receive and process telephone orders and communicate with customers and co-workers in person and over the phone.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
• Unload bulk product deliveries using a hand truck and stock items on shelves.
