About The Position
The Delivery Driver performs general restaurant duties, including operating equipment; stocking and rotating ingredients from delivery to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler; preparing products; receiving and processing telephone and internet orders; counting inventory and completing paperwork; and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job training includes customer service orientation, an interactive computer program, and hands-on practice. The role requires communicating with customers and coworkers verbally and in writing, in person and over the phone. Drivers safely operate their own vehicle and navigate roads, maps, adverse terrain, and stairs at delivery sites while carrying products. The position also requires accurate basic arithmetic to make correct monetary change, with a calculator available if needed.
Requirements
- Ability to comprehend and communicate verbally and in writing with customers and coworkers over the phone and in person.
- Ability to safely drive own vehicle.
- Ability to navigate roads, maps, adverse terrain, and stairs at delivery sites while carrying products.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately to make correct monetary change; a calculator may be used.
- Ability to perform the physical demands of the role, including standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, climbing ladders or stairs, stooping or bending, crouching or squatting, reaching, and grasping.
