About The Position

JC Licht is hiring a Delivery Driver based in Aurora to serve other JC Licht stores and customers in the area. The role drives a van or box truck to deliver products or purchases to stores and customer locations, while supporting the company’s customer-service standards and maintaining positive customer relationships.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
Must have a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) within established company guidelines.
Ability to lift, load, unload, and move products weighing up to 75 pounds.
Ability to safely operate job-related equipment, such as a hand truck.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Good customer-service skills.

Nice To Haves

Previous product delivery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Verify loads against shipping papers.
Drive a van and box truck to delivery destinations.
Collect payment for delivered goods and delivery charges.
Handle products properly to minimize damage.
Maintain positive customer relations and involve management to resolve customer issues.
Maintain a van log according to state and federal regulations.
Maintain telephone or radio contact with a supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
Load and unload the van.
Inspect vehicle equipment and supplies, including tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
Perform emergency roadside repairs, such as changing tires and installing light bulbs, fuses, tire chains, and spark plugs.
Maintain a neat appearance while on the job.
Perform other duties as assigned.
