About The Position

Parts Authority is seeking reliable and safety-focused Delivery Drivers for its Collision Auto Parts division. This role involves operating a company van to deliver oversized collision parts such as bumpers, fenders, and hoods to wholesale and retail customers. The driver must be comfortable handling large, bulky items and providing professional customer service at every stop. Parts Authority is a leading national distributor of automotive replacement parts, tools/equipment and transmissions, founded in 1973, and is rapidly expanding with over 300 locations nationwide. This is a full-time employment opportunity with great pay and benefits, and the potential for advancement.

Requirements

  • Valid state-issued driver’s license.
  • Clean driving record (subject to MVR check).
  • Must be at least 21 years old (insurance requirement).
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 lbs repeatedly.
  • Able to enter/exit the delivery vehicle frequently throughout the day.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while driving.
  • Must work in various weather conditions.
  • Basic English communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to manage, track and account for money transactions and reconcile customer credit and debt balances.
  • Ability to utilize a tablet and/or mobile device for purposes of navigation/ route optimization, tracking and customer interface/ signature capture.
  • Exceptional customer and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate effectively, professionally, with tact and diplomacy.
  • Ability to take and follow directions and work well with others as part of team.
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior delivery experience preferred but not required.
  • Previous delivery driving experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Pick up and drop off automotive parts, adhering to assigned routes and time schedules.
  • Ensure orders are properly fulfilled and parts are verified for accuracy before departure.
  • Inspect parts before departure and secure items for transport.
  • Communicate professionally with customers and document any delivery issues.
  • Complete daily route sheets, delivery logs, and customer paperwork.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report any maintenance concerns immediately.
  • Follow assigned routes and schedules, complying with all traffic laws and company safety guidelines.
  • Report incidents, damages, or safety concerns to management promptly.
  • Represent the company in a courteous and customer-focused manner.
  • Operate a company van to deliver large and oversized collision auto parts.
  • Load and unload parts weighing up to 75 lbs using proper lifting techniques.
  • Maintain a basic familiarity with common collision parts (e.g., bumpers, fenders, reinforcements).
  • Recognize related components (e.g., absorbers, retainers, or brackets) to help ensure accurate deliveries and confirm correct items are received.
