About The Position

This role involves operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, and handling telephone orders. The position requires taking inventory, completing paperwork, and maintaining cleanliness of equipment and the facility. Training is provided on the job. Essential skills include accurate mathematical calculations, strong verbal and written communication for order processing, and good eye-hand coordination for precise movements. The role also requires the ability to use a computer keyboard or touch screen for order entry. The work environment can involve varying temperatures, exposure to food odors and cornmeal dust, and working in cramped quarters. Hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts are also present. The job requires the ability to talk and hear on the telephone, near and mid-range vision, depth perception, and the ability to differentiate hot and cold surfaces. Temperaments needed include the ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze data, and make judgments and decisions. Most tasks are performed standing, with walking in short distances. Sitting is required for paperwork completion. Lifting of up to 50 pounds is necessary for bulk deliveries, and carrying items like large cans or pizza sauce is also part of the job. Pushing is required for moving trays on dollies, and climbing stairs or ladders may be necessary. Stooping, bending, crouching, squatting, and reaching are performed continuously for various tasks. Eye-hand coordination is essential, with continuous use of hands for shaping dough, using tools, and pinching for box assembly. Team members may use pencils, pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutters, and pizza wheels. For delivery positions, a valid driver's license, safe driving record, and access to an insured vehicle are required. Essential skills include navigational abilities to read maps, locate addresses, and navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings while carrying product. Physical demands include carrying pizzas and beverages during deliveries, driving within a designated area, walking between the store and customer locations, and climbing stairs. Exposure to varying weather conditions is expected during deliveries. Far and night vision are important for driving, and daily visual inspection of tires and vehicle maintenance are required.

Requirements

Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
Must be able to make correct monetary change.
Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed.
Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Valid driver's license with safe driving record meeting company standards.
Access to insured vehicle which can be used for delivery.

Nice To Haves

Team members must be able to manipulate a pizza peel when removing pizza from the oven, and when using the rolling cutter.
Team members must be able to grasp cans, the phone, the puzza cutter and pizza wheel, and pizza boxes.

Responsibilities

Operate all equipment.
Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk-in cooler.
Prepare product.
Receive and process telephone orders.
Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
Deliver product by car and then to door for customer.
Deliver flyers and door hangers.
Navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product.
Carry pizzas and beverages while performing walking and climbing duties.
Deliver pizzas within a designated delivery area.
Travel between the store and delivery vehicle and from the delivery vehicle to the customer's location.
Visually inspect tires to insure proper tread wear and tread depth daily.
Maintain your vehicle in good running condition.
