About The Position

The Delivery Specialist delivers purchased merchandise to customers within an assigned market while meeting delivery and quality standards. The role provides a positive customer experience by building trusted relationships, offering advice, ensuring safe delivery, resolving problems, and handling returns as needed. The position requires driving in all weather and road conditions, maintaining delivery vehicles and equipment, and working with store personnel and field sales to meet customer needs.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years old.
• Have at least 3 years of driving experience and meet motor vehicle record check requirements.
• Hold a DOT Medical Card as required.
• Be able to move throughout the store and outdoor areas quickly and safely.
• Be able to push and pull merchandise weighing up to 2,000 pounds with appropriate material-handling equipment.
• Be able to lift and move large, bulky, and/or heavy merchandise and safely load and unload a delivery truck.
• Operate job-related equipment efficiently, safely, properly, and accurately.
• Use Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Calendar.
• Demonstrate time-management skills and meet tight deadlines.
• Communicate effectively in writing and verbally with team members and customers.
• Read, write, and count accurately to complete documentation.
• Navigate using GPS systems and maps.
• Successfully complete required training.
• Have flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required.

Nice To Haves

• Previous truck delivery experience.
• Experience with a hand truck, dolly, pallet jack, and forklift.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Strong customer service skills and a professional, friendly attitude.

Responsibilities

• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Make timely deliveries and meet or exceed scheduled delivery times.
• Operate and maintain a clean, organized delivery vehicle and delivery equipment, including a trailer when needed.
• Load, unload, and organize products safely and efficiently.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the delivery vehicle.
• Keep accurate records of deliveries and issues.
• Communicate with customers about delivery updates and concerns.
• Provide exceptional, friendly customer service.
• Partner with the field sales team and store personnel to satisfy customer needs.
• Handle products carefully to prevent damage and ensure safe transport.
• Follow traffic laws and company policies for safe driving.
• Handle returns, exchanges, and customer inquiries as needed.
