About The Position

Delivery Drivers' primary responsibility is to deliver sandwiches to customers in the designated delivery area. Drivers are expected to check all products for accuracy against quality standards and deliver products to customers in a safe, courteous, and timely manner. While not on the road, Drivers work as In Shoppers and are compensated accordingly. Delivery is a customer service job, so following customer's request and doing it with a smile can lead to more successful days. Requirements

Must be able to communicate, read, and write the English language fluently and clearly.
Position requires bending, reaching, stooping, climbing, repetitive motions, cognitive skills, lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, and moving about the unit the entire workday.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Must have reliable transportation.
Must have current automobile insurance.
Must have a clean driving record.
Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.

Responsibilities

Deliver sandwiches to customers in the designated delivery area.
Check all products for accuracy against quality standards.
Deliver products to customers in a safe, courteous, and timely manner.
Perform all Inshopper tasks while not on a delivery.
Take phone orders and complete delivery tickets in a courteous and timely manner.
Accept payment from customers for orders and provide correct change without cash handling errors.
Reconcile cash from delivery sales at the end of the shift, including accepting tips, DMR, and confirming miles driven.
Fill out systems and procedures with 100% accuracy and integrity.
Maintain professional appearance at all times in compliance with Jimmy John's Dress Code.
Display a positive and enthusiastic approach to all assignments.
Perform other related duties as requested.
Display a sense of urgency in all tasks.
Learn the most efficient route.
Double check orders to ensure everything is accounted for.
Hustle on our feet while always being safe and law abiding while on the street.
