About The Position

The Warehouse/Driver will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods to and from our warehouse, as well as assisting with general warehouse duties. Operates commercial vehicle to transport and deliver heating and air conditioning products parts, and other materials to customers or Insco locations. Will also be responsible for performing warehouse and counter sales duties at the branch.

• Basic computer knowledge
• Experience with data entry and inventory management systems
• Forklift certification and ability to maintain certification.
• Physical ability to lift and handle products safely.
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• One year HVAC industry experience
• General knowledge of HVAC products preferred
• At least one year’s experience or driver’s certificate from driving training school
• Valid driver s license with a satisfactory MVR
• Pass and maintain organizational forklift certification.
• At least one year’s experience or driver certificate from driver training school
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical, drug test, MVR, TXDOT hazmat test with endorsements, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Responsibly transports and loads/unloads items to a customer’s job site, place of business, or other assigned destination
• Build strong relationships with the customers to ensure that we continue to deliver outstanding customer experience
• Inspect truck pre and post trip to ensure everything, including emergency, mechanical and safety gear, is in working order
• Performs required minor maintenance and keeps the vehicle clean
• Obtain and maintain necessary documentation such as proof of delivery/pick up, driver logs, truck condition forms, maintenance logs, etc.
• Collects/picks up empty containers or rejected/unsold merchandise
• Assist with branch operations such as receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock, cycle counts/inventory, etc.
• Supports the branch with counter sales support
• Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
