About The Position

The Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate transportation of electrical materials, tools, equipment, and project-related supplies between company facilities, vendors, warehouses, and active job sites. This role supports field and warehouse operations by ensuring materials are delivered efficiently, documentation is completed accurately, and deliveries are coordinated to meet project schedules and operational demands. The Delivery Driver represents the company professionally while maintaining compliance with all company safety policies, DOT regulations, and customer site requirements.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of safe driving practices and material handling procedures
  • Ability to safely operate pickup trucks, flatbeds, box trucks, trailers, or other company vehicles
  • Ability to read delivery schedules, packing slips, maps, and shipping documentation
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple delivery priorities
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Effective communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing schedules, jobsite conditions, and operational demands
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record required
  • DOT medical card may be required based on vehicle type and operational needs

Nice To Haves

  • Basic understanding of warehouse, construction, or electrical materials preferred
  • Forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain after hire
  • 1–3 years of delivery driving, warehouse, logistics, construction, or material handling experience preferred
  • Experience working in construction, industrial, electrical, or contractor environments preferred
  • Experience operating delivery vehicles, trailers, or flatbeds preferred

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate company vehicles to transport electrical materials, tools, equipment, and supplies to and from job sites, warehouses, vendors, and branch locations
  • Load, unload, secure, and verify materials to ensure accurate and damage-free deliveries
  • Coordinate delivery schedules with warehouse personnel, project teams, field leadership, and vendors to support project timelines
  • Review packing slips, purchase orders, delivery tickets, and shipping documents for accuracy
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance, safety, or operational concerns promptly
  • Maintain organized delivery records, logs, receipts, and proof-of-delivery documentation
  • Assist with warehouse support activities including staging, material organization, inventory handling, and jobsite pickup requests as needed
  • Follow all company safety policies, DOT requirements, jobsite rules, and PPE standards
  • Maintain professional communication and customer service with employees, vendors, suppliers, and customers
  • Support emergency or priority delivery requests based on operational needs
