Delivery Driver-Part Time
About The Position
The Delivery Driver is responsible for delivering merchandise to customers in a safe and efficient manner. This role involves safely loading and unloading equipment and materials, taking and uploading digital pictures of deliveries, and performing daily truck and forklift inspections. The driver will also work with delivery dates, order fulfillments, and receiving, assist in checking in freight and trucks, and help keep the yard and warehouse stocked and cleaned. Maintaining the cleanliness, neatness, and safety of the building and lot is also a key responsibility. The driver must communicate with call outs and delivery schedules and follow all safety rules and regulations. Adherence to all policies and procedures as specified in the Employee Handbook is required. Secondary functions include unloading freight and trucks, assisting customers in selecting and loading merchandise, helping with glass and plexiglass where applicable, and assisting inside when needed.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to drive manual transmission
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Ability to work flexible hours; including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Comprehending delivery instructions to job site
- Knowledge of building materials
- Good physical condition for lifting
- Safety conscious
Nice To Haves
- H.S. Diploma or G.E.D. is preferred
- Forklift certified is preferred
Responsibilities
