About The Position
This role involves operating all necessary equipment, stocking ingredients from delivery areas to storage and work areas, and preparing product. The position also includes receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, and completing associated paperwork. Daily cleaning of equipment and the facility is required. The job demands accurate and quick calculation skills (with or without a calculator), the ability to make correct monetary change, and strong verbal, writing, and telephone skills for order processing. Motor coordination for precise and rapid hand/finger movements is essential, as is the ability to enter orders via computer keyboard or touchscreen. The role requires the ability to comprehend and follow written instructions and to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers. Responsibilities include delivering product by car to customer doors, distributing flyers and door hangers, and utilizing navigational skills to read maps and locate addresses within the designated delivery area. The driver must be able to navigate various delivery sites, including multi-story buildings and private homes, while carrying product.
Requirements
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
- Must be able to make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
- Navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within designated delivery area.
- Must navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product.
