About The Position
This role involves operating all necessary equipment, stocking ingredients from the delivery area to storage and work areas, and preparing products. The Delivery Driver will also be responsible for receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing associated paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility on a daily basis. Key skills include accurate mathematical calculations, making correct monetary change, strong verbal and written communication for order processing, and excellent motor coordination for precise movements. The role requires the ability to enter orders via computer or touchscreen, comprehend and follow written instructions, and communicate effectively with customers and coworkers. Responsibilities also include delivering products by car to customer doors, distributing flyers and door hangers, and utilizing navigational skills to read maps and locate addresses within the designated delivery area. The driver must be able to navigate various terrains, including multi-story buildings and private homes, while carrying product.
Requirements
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
- Must be able to make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
- Navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within designated delivery area.
- Must navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product.
