About The Position
Delivery drivers deliver merchandise from the store to the customer via personal automobile. They collect money from customers, wait on customers, and maintain the kitchen work area, restaurant equipment, and utensils by keeping them clean and in orderly condition. Responsibilities also include washing work tables, segregating and removing trash, and washing pots and pans. Additionally, drivers may transfer food from the cooler to the work area and assist in food preparation. The role may involve distributing advertising material, such as handbills and coupons, house to house, to business establishments, or to persons on the street, following instructions, street maps, or address lists. They might also be required to hold a sign or banner in a street corner, parking lot, or other business area to display advertisements for store products or special sales. Communication with prospective customers to answer questions and promote sales is also part of the job.
Requirements
- Must have had a driver's license for 2 years.
- Must meet MVR standards.
- Must maintain vehicle and vehicle insurance in accordance with state requirements.
