About The Position

The Delivery Driver delivers products to customers safely and courteously while following traffic laws, company-approved safety procedures, and company policies. The driver must know the delivery area, make a cash drop after every delivery, and never leave for a delivery carrying more than $20. The role also involves maintaining a positive customer image, handling customer concerns courteously, and assisting with store operations and maintenance as directed by the manager in charge. Before making deliveries, the driver must have the necessary equipment ready, including a full tank of gas, a full uniform, and a cartop sign that is lit after dark, and must ensure their vehicle is safe and well maintained. The driver must promptly report pressure to drive unsafely and any changes to their driving record. The position involves working outdoors while delivering and indoors around heat from cooking. Physical activities include frequent driving, sitting, standing, and walking, with occasional lifting, carrying, reaching, twisting, bending, squatting, climbing, and pushing or pulling. The driver may be asked to help lift or carry heavy items.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
Must have a safe, well-maintained vehicle with proper insurance coverage.
Must be able to read a map.
Must have a two-year driving record with no more than two violations in two years.
Must pass a background check.
Must have a positive attitude and maintain a good vehicle and personal image.

Responsibilities

Deliver products to customers safely and courteously while obeying traffic laws and wearing a seat belt.
Complete the company's approved safe delivery program.
Know the delivery area and make a cash drop after every delivery; never leave for a delivery carrying more than $20.
Present a positive image to customers, follow company policies and standards, and handle customer concerns with grace and congeniality.
Prepare necessary delivery equipment, including keeping the vehicle fueled and safe, wearing a full uniform, and using a cartop sign lit after dark.
Report pressure to drive unsafely to the safety hotline and the owner and/or supervisor.
Maintain a good driving record and immediately inform the manager of any changes.
Assist with store operations, including answering phones, making pizzas, preparing and stocking makeline food and the soda cooler, folding boxes, and handling coupon materials.
Clean and maintain the store, including washing surfaces and sweeping and mopping floors, as directed by the manager in charge.
Maintain company image standards.
