About The Position

The Delivery Driver delivers company products by car to customers’ doors within a designated delivery area and may make several deliveries per shift. The role also includes delivering flyers, doorhangers, and other marketing materials. In-store duties include operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility approximately daily. Orientation and on-the-job training are provided.

The role involves frequent standing, walking, reaching, and hand use, along with lifting and carrying supplies and customer orders. Drivers may need to navigate stairs, ladders, adverse terrain, and varied weather conditions. Work may take place in changing temperatures and expose the team member to food odors, dust, hot surfaces and tools, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts.

Requirements

• Valid driver license with a safe driving record that meets company standards.
• Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
• Ability to read maps and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
• Ability to navigate adverse terrain and delivery sites while carrying products.
• Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and coworkers.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly, make correct monetary change, and use a calculator if needed.
• Ability to take and process orders verbally, in writing, and by telephone, and enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Motor coordination and eye-hand coordination to make precise movements quickly and accurately.
• Ability to work independently and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality-control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
• Ability to lift and handle deliveries weighing up to 60 pounds and perform the physical activities described for the role.
• Ability to use far and night vision for driving and distinguish hot from cold surfaces.

• Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
• Unload deliveries of ingredients and supplies using a hand truck, and stock items on shelves.
• Navigate delivery locations, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other sites.
