About The Position

The Delivery Driver operates equipment and performs store and food-preparation duties, including stocking ingredients, preparing products, processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. The role also requires safely operating a personal vehicle and obeying traffic laws.

The position involves frequent standing, walking short distances, reaching, and use of both hands. Duties include lifting and stocking deliveries, bending and occasionally crouching or climbing, and working with order-entry equipment and food-service tools. Team members may unload deliveries using hand trucks.

Requirements

• Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
• Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers and take and process orders by phone and in person.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
• Ability to make correct change.
• Verbal, written, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Motor coordination between eyes and hands or fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
• Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Ability to perform duties involving prolonged standing, short-distance walking, lifting, reaching, bending, and use of both hands.
• Ability to lift and stock delivery cases weighing up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate all equipment.
• Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, the work area, and the walk-in cooler.
• Prepare products.
• Receive and process telephone orders and communicate with customers and co-workers to process orders in person and by phone.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
• Safely operate a vehicle and obey all laws.
• Unload and stock product deliveries, using hand trucks as needed.
