About The Position

This role involves operating all necessary equipment, stocking ingredients from delivery areas and storage, preparing products, and receiving/processing telephone orders. The position also requires taking inventory, completing paperwork, and maintaining cleanliness of equipment and the facility. Training is provided on the job. The role demands strong communication skills for interacting with customers and coworkers, both verbally and in writing, to process orders accurately. Essential skills include mathematical abilities for calculations and making change, computer/touch screen order entry, and excellent hand-eye coordination for precise movements. The work environment can involve exposure to varying weather conditions, in-store temperature fluctuations, food odors, dust, cramped spaces, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Sensory requirements include talking and hearing on the phone, near and mid-range vision, depth perception, and the ability to differentiate hot and cold surfaces. Temperaments suited for this role include the ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work independently and collaboratively, handle stress, meet quality standards, interact with people, analyze data, and make sound judgments and decisions. Physical demands include prolonged standing and walking on various surfaces, with work surfaces typically between 36" and 48" high. Lifting of bulk product deliveries, weighing up to 60 pounds, is required, involving stacking cases up to 72" high. Carrying large cans and pizza sauce (up to 30 pounds) is also necessary, as is carrying trays of pizza dough. Pushing is required for moving trays on dollies, and occasionally pulling trays. Climbing stairs or ladders may be needed for tasks like changing prices or maintenance. Stooping, bending, crouching, and squatting are performed for stocking, cleaning, and assembly tasks. Reaching continuously (up, down, and forward) is required for various tasks, including operating oven controls, changing prices, and reaching for ingredients or the phone. Hand tasks are continuous and require eye-hand coordination, including frequent and forceful use of forearms and wrists for shaping dough, manipulating pizza peels, and pinching for box assembly. Team members must be able to grasp various items. Tools and equipment used may include pencils, pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutters, and pizza peels. Additionally, the role requires delivering products by car to customer doors and distributing marketing materials. A valid driver's license with a safe driving record and access to an insured vehicle are mandatory. Navigational skills to read maps and locate addresses within the delivery area are essential, as is the ability to navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings and various delivery sites while carrying product. Physical demands during delivery include carrying pizzas, sides, and beverages while walking and climbing. Driving is a primary function, involving multiple deliveries per shift within a designated area. Walking is required between the store and delivery vehicle, and to the customer's location. Climbing may involve navigating five or more flights of stairs. Work conditions include exposure to varying weather conditions during deliveries and couponing. Sensory requirements for driving include far and night vision.
