About The Position
North Star Pizza is a 27-store franchise looking to expand and grow, offering potential for growth within the company. The Delivery Driver is based at the 14531 Forest Blvd location in Hugo and is responsible for delivering packages promptly and accurately to residential and commercial customers in Hugo and surrounding areas. The wage range is $15–$25 per hour, including hourly wages and tips earned. The role involves safely operating company vehicles, planning efficient routes, handling delivery transactions, maintaining delivery and vehicle records, communicating with dispatch and customers, and providing customer service. Weekend and evening availability is required as part of a flexible schedule.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing inventory.
- Physical stamina to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Outstanding customer-service skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Thorough knowledge of local roads and traffic patterns in Hugo and surrounding areas.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible schedule, including availability for weekend and evening shifts.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a delivery driver preferred.
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and delivery management software is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Load, transport, and deliver packages to residential and commercial addresses in Hugo and surrounding areas.
- Plan and optimize delivery routes for maximum efficiency.
- Operate company vehicles safely and responsibly while following traffic laws and company policies.
- Verify delivery information and obtain required signatures.
- Handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions for Cash on Delivery orders.
- Maintain accurate delivery, vehicle maintenance, and fuel-consumption records.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members.
- Resolve customer concerns and report issues to appropriate personnel.
- Assist with loading and unloading packages at the distribution center as needed.
