About The Position

The Delivery Driver delivers products by car to customers’ doors within a designated delivery area and may also deliver flyers and door hangers. The role includes general store-team duties such as operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, taking and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided.

The position requires driving in varying weather and navigating to addresses across the delivery area, including adverse terrain, private homes, multi-story buildings, and stairs. Team members may also perform physical store duties involving standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, bending, reaching, and handling food-preparation equipment and supplies. Work conditions include exposure to hot and cold temperatures, food odors, cornmeal dust, hot surfaces, sharp edges, moving mechanical parts, and cramped areas such as walk-in coolers.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver's license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
• Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
• Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings and delivery sites, while carrying products.
• Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and co-workers.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly and make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Ability to use a computer keyboard or touch screen to enter orders.
• Ability to meet the physical demands described, including lifting cases weighing up to 50 pounds, carrying products, and navigating stairs during deliveries.
