About The Position

The Delivery Driver delivers products by car to customers within a designated delivery area and performs general store team-member duties. The role may include delivering flyers and door hangers, taking and processing orders, preparing products, stocking ingredients, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
• Ability to read maps, locate addresses in the designated delivery area, and navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings and other delivery sites.
• Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and co-workers.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly and make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Motor coordination and eye-hand coordination to make precise movements quickly and accurately; ability to enter orders by keyboard or touch screen.
• Ability to work alone and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
• Ability to meet physical demands that include standing for most tasks, walking, carrying items, and climbing stairs; delivery may require navigating five or more flights of stairs.
• Ability to lift and stack cases weighing up to 50 pounds onto shelves as high as 72 inches.
• Ability to carry pizzas and beverages during deliveries, as well as specified store supplies and ingredients.
• Far and night vision for driving, and ability to talk and hear on the telephone and distinguish hot from cold surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products by car to customers within the designated delivery area and carry orders to their doors.
• Deliver flyers and door hangers.
• Operate store equipment and use a computer keyboard or touch screen to enter orders.
• Stock ingredients and supplies from the delivery area to storage and work areas, including the walk-in cooler.
• Prepare products.
• Receive and process telephone orders and communicate with customers and co-workers in person and by phone.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
• Unload bulk product deliveries using a hand truck and stock items on shelves.
