About The Position

This role involves operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, and receiving/processing telephone orders. The position requires taking inventory, completing paperwork, and maintaining cleanliness of equipment and the facility. Training is provided on the job, covering orientation and essential job functions. Communication skills are crucial for interacting with customers and coworkers, both verbally and in writing, to process orders accurately. Essential skills include quick and accurate mathematical calculations for pricing and change, strong verbal, writing, and telephone skills, and excellent eye-hand coordination for rapid and precise movements. The ability to use a computer keyboard or touchscreen for order entry is also necessary. The work environment involves exposure to varying weather conditions, in-store temperature fluctuations, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Sensory requirements include talking and hearing on the telephone, near and mid-range vision, depth perception, and the ability to distinguish hot and cold surfaces. Temperaments suited for this role include the ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work independently and collaboratively, handle stress, meet quality standards, interact with people, analyze data, and make decisions. Most tasks are performed while standing, with walking on various surfaces. Sitting is primarily for completing paperwork. Lifting involves handling bulk product deliveries, with cases weighing up to 50 pounds and requiring stacking up to 72 inches high. Carrying includes large cans and pizza sauce, as well as trays of pizza dough. Pushing is required for moving trays on dollies. Climbing stairs or ladders may be necessary for tasks like changing signs or maintenance. Stooping, bending, crouching, and squatting are performed for various tasks including assembly, stocking, and cleaning. Reaching is continuous in all directions for various tasks, including operating oven controls and stocking shelves. Hand tasks require continuous use of hands, with frequent and forceful use of forearms and wrists for tasks like shaping dough. Manipulation of tools like a pizza peel and rolling cutter is necessary. Pinching is required for assembling boxes, and grasping various items like cans, phones, and cutters is essential. Team members may use pencils, pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutters, and pizza wheels. For Driver or Store Management positions, additional duties include delivering product by car to the customer's door and distributing flyers. This requires a valid driver's license with a safe driving record, access to an insured vehicle, and strong navigational skills to read maps and locate addresses. Drivers must be able to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings and various delivery sites, while carrying product. Physical demands for drivers include carrying pizzas and beverages during deliveries, driving within a designated area, walking between the store and vehicle and to the customer's location, and potentially climbing five or more flights of stairs. Drivers are exposed to varying weather conditions during deliveries and must have far and night vision for driving. Vehicle maintenance, including daily tire inspection and ensuring good running condition, is also required.
