About The Position

The Delivery Driver position requires individuals to be 18 years of age with a valid driver's license and a safe driving record. Access to an insured vehicle is necessary for deliveries. The role involves navigational skills to locate addresses within a designated delivery area and the ability to navigate various terrains, including multi-story buildings. General duties include operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, receiving phone orders, taking inventory, and cleaning the facility. Communication skills are essential for interacting with customers and coworkers, both verbally and in writing. The role also requires accurate mathematical skills for handling transactions and the ability to use a computer keyboard or touchscreen for order entry. Essential functions include driving, delivering product, and potentially distributing flyers. The work environment involves exposure to varying weather conditions, in-store temperature fluctuations, food odors, and cramped spaces. Physical requirements include standing for extended periods, walking, lifting items up to 50 pounds, carrying products, pushing/pulling carts, and occasional climbing. Stooping, bending, crouching, squatting, and reaching are also part of the job. Hand tasks require good eye-hand coordination, and specific tasks like shaping dough may require forceful use of forearms and wrists. Team members will use tools such as pencils, pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutters, and pizza peels.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age.
Must have a valid driver's license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
Must have access to an insured vehicle which can be used for delivery.
Possess navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within designated delivery area.
Must be able to navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings.
Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
Must be able to make correct monetary change.
Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed.
Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Near and mid-range vision for most in-store tasks.
Depth perception.
Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
Far vision and night vision for driving.
Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, make judgements and decisions.
Standing for most tasks.
Walking for short distances for short durations.
Lifting bulk product deliveries (up to 50 pounds) and stacking them.
Carrying large cans, pizza sauce, and trays of pizza dough.
Carrying pizzas and beverages during delivery.
Pushing to move trays on dollies.
Infrequently navigate stairs or climb a ladder.
Forward bending at the waist.
Crouching/Squatting occasionally to stock shelves and clean low areas.
Reaching continuously; up, down and forward.
Eye-hand coordination is essential.
Use of hands is continuous during the day.
Frequent and/or forceful pinching for assembly of cardboard pizza boxes.
Must be able to grasp cans, the phone, the pizza cutter and pizza peel, and pizza boxes.
Utilize pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter and pizza peel.
