Delivery Driver - Industrial Distribution
About The Position
TCH Industries, a leader in the industrial hose industry since 1983, is seeking a Delivery Driver for its Cleveland, OH facility. This full-time role involves operating a company box truck on local, same-day delivery and pickup routes throughout Northeast Ohio. The ideal candidate is self-directed, detail-oriented, and takes ownership of their route and vehicle. This position is for an independent driver who prefers working on the road and values professionalism, reliability, and a clean driving record. You will be the face of TCH Industries and Koehler Rubber at customer locations, requiring a professional and composed demeanor.
Requirements
- Valid Ohio driver's license with a clean driving record (non-negotiable).
- Ability to operate a box truck (under 26,001 lbs GVWR) - no CDL required.
- Ability to load, unload, and move freight up to 75 lbs; team lifts for heavier items.
- Strong attention to detail - accurate documentation is as important as safe driving.
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated; able to manage own route and time without micromanagement.
- Professional demeanor at customer sites - courteous and composed.
- Basic familiarity with NE Ohio geography and routes; GPS proficiency.
Nice To Haves
- Delivery or route driving experience strongly preferred.
- Forklift or pallet jack experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Operate a company box truck on local same-day delivery and pickup routes throughout Northeast Ohio.
- Load and unload freight at the facility and customer locations, ensuring safety and care for the product.
- Verify orders against delivery documentation before departure and confirm receipt at each stop.
- Accurately complete delivery logs, BOLs, and any pickup or return paperwork.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain the cleanliness and condition of the company vehicle at all times.
- Represent TCH Industries and Koehler Rubber professionally at all customer locations, being courteous, efficient, and on time.
- Communicate route updates, delays, or delivery exceptions to dispatch in a timely manner.
