Requirements

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar transportation role
Strong knowledge of vehicle operation, maintenance, and safety procedures
Proficiency with GPS navigation systems and delivery management software
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Ability to lift, carry, and handle packages weighing up to 50 pounds regularly
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Professional appearance and demeanor
Ability to work independently and manage multiple deliveries efficiently
Problem-solving skills and ability to handle challenging customer situations

Responsibilities

Operate a delivery vehicle safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company safety protocols
Plan and execute optimal delivery routes to maximize efficiency and minimize delivery times
Load, unload, and transport packages of varying sizes and weights to customer locations
Obtain customer signatures and handle payment transactions as required
Maintain accurate delivery records and update delivery status in real-time using company systems
Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly
Provide professional and courteous customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving delivery concerns
Inspect packages for damage or discrepancies before delivery
Meet daily and weekly delivery targets while maintaining quality standards
Communicate effectively with dispatch and management regarding route changes or delivery obstacles
