About The Position

Advance Auto Parts is seeking a Delivery Driver to join their team. This role involves picking, staging, and safely delivering parts to professional customers, as well as picking up returns and cores. The driver will also be responsible for dropping off sales flyers, promoting current sales and loyalty programs, and collecting credit accounts. A key aspect of the role is building and maintaining relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers, providing insights learned during deliveries. The position also includes assisting in upselling and cross-selling products to increase average transaction value, maintaining store cleanliness, general stocking duties, and staying knowledgeable about product inventory and new arrivals. The driver will also engage with walk-in customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate parts or services. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Ability to use delivery board system
Ability to locate and stock parts
Operating inventory systems (Back stock) and store equipment
Ability to identify customer needs and recommend solutions
Speak and write English (Spanish a plus); communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers and leadership
Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs and procedure manuals
Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings and weekends as needed
Confidence in engaging customers and promoting products
Willing to learn about new products and sales techniques
Must be able to talk and hear, and use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Nice To Haves

Automotive parts experience is preferred
Spanish language skills

Responsibilities

Pick, stage and safely deliver parts to pro customers
Pick up returns and cores
Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers while promoting current sales and loyalty programs
Daily collection of credit accounts
Build and maintain relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers while providing the CPP with insights learned while making deliveries
Assist in upselling and cross-selling products to increase average transaction value
Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting and parking lot
General stocking including truck stocking, back stock and cycle counts
Maintain knowledge of product inventory and new arrivals to assist with sales
Engage with walk-in customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate parts or services
Other duties as assigned
