This role involves delivering pizzas and other products within a designated delivery area. The Delivery Driver is responsible for operating all equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, and cleaning the facility. Essential functions include accurate mathematical calculations, strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent motor coordination, computer/touch screen proficiency, and navigational skills to locate addresses and navigate various terrains, including multi-story buildings. The job requires the ability to work in varying weather conditions and in-store temperatures, handle food odors and dust, and work in cramped quarters. Sensory requirements include talking and hearing on the telephone, near and mid-range vision, depth perception, differentiating hot and cold surfaces, and far/night vision for driving. Temperaments include the ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze data, and make judgments and decisions. Physical requirements include standing, walking, sitting for paperwork, lifting up to 50 pounds, carrying items, pushing/pulling dollies, stooping/bending, crouching/squatting, reaching continuously, and driving. Hand tasks require eye-hand coordination and the use of hands for various manipulations, including forceful use of forearms and wrists for shaping dough and pinching for box assembly. Team members may use pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutters, and pizza peels. Climbing stairs or ladders may be required infrequently.
