About The Position
This role involves a combination of customer service and delivery responsibilities. The Delivery Driver will operate all necessary equipment, stock ingredients, prepare products, utilize proprietary technology, and handle telephone orders. A key aspect of the job is maintaining good communication skills, both verbally with customers and coworkers, to process orders efficiently. The position requires the ability to accurately handle monetary transactions, use a computer keyboard or touch screen for order entry, and possess good eye-hand coordination for precise movements. The work environment includes exposure to varying weather conditions, temperature fluctuations, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Sensory requirements include talking and hearing on the telephone, near and mid-range vision, depth perception, and the ability to differentiate hot and cold surfaces. Temperaments suited for this role include the ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work independently and with others, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze data, and make decisions.
Requirements
- Must have good communication Skills
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator)
- Must be able to make correct monetary change
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately with speed
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen
- All employees must use any and all Domino’s technology implemented by the Company
- All drivers must use the Driver app
- All CSR must make use of the Dominos Digital Shoulder surf (DSS)
- All employees must use the Domino’s Car Side Delivery
Responsibilities
- Operate all equipment
- Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage and work area, including walk-in cooler
- Prepare all products
- Use all proprietary technology
- Receive and process telephone orders
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork
- Clean equipment and facility approximately daily
- Responsible for continued on the job training for any and all new products
- Deliver pizzas within a designated delivery area
- Make several deliveries per shift
