About The Position

This role involves operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, taking and processing telephone orders, conducting inventory, and cleaning the facility. A key responsibility is delivering products to customers via car, which includes delivering flyers and door hangers. The position requires strong communication skills for interacting with customers and coworkers, both verbally and in writing, to process orders efficiently. Essential functions include accurate mathematical calculations for transactions, effective verbal and written communication, precise hand-eye coordination for order entry, map reading and navigational skills to locate customer addresses, and the ability to navigate various delivery sites, including multi-story buildings, while carrying product. The work environment includes exposure to varying weather conditions, a range of in-store temperatures, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Sensory requirements include talking and hearing on the telephone, near and mid-range vision, depth perception, and the ability to distinguish between hot and cold surfaces. Temperaments required include the ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work independently and with others, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze data, and make decisions. The role primarily involves standing, with some walking, sitting for paperwork, lifting up to 50 pounds, carrying various items, driving for deliveries, pushing trays on dollies, infrequent climbing (including stairs and ladders), continuous stooping/bending, occasional crouching/squatting, and continuous reaching in various directions.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license with safe driving record meeting company standards.
Access to insured vehicle which can be used for delivery.
Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
Must be able to make correct monetary change.
Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed.
Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within designated delivery area.
Must navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings, private homes and other delivery sites while carrying product.
