About The Position
This position involves operating all necessary equipment, stocking ingredients from the delivery area to storage and work areas, and preparing products. Key skills include accurate and quick arithmetic, making correct monetary change, and strong verbal, writing, and telephone communication abilities for order processing. The job requires motor coordination for precise movements, the ability to use a computer keyboard or touch screen for order entry, and the capacity to understand and follow written instructions. Effective verbal communication with customers and co-workers is essential for processing orders both in person and over the phone. Responsibilities extend to delivering products by car to the customer's door, distributing flyers and door hangers, and utilizing navigational skills to read maps and locate addresses within the designated delivery area. The role also requires navigating various terrains, including multi-story buildings and private homes, while carrying product.
Requirements
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
- Navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within designated delivery area.
