About The Position

The Delivery Driver is responsible for operating all equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing product, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, and cleaning equipment and the facility. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to perform basic math, and excellent motor coordination. The driver will navigate various terrains, including multi-story buildings, and must be comfortable working in a dynamic environment with exposure to varying weather conditions and in-store temperatures. Essential functions include standing for extended periods, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, carrying items, pushing/pulling carts, occasional climbing, stooping/bending, crouching/squatting, reaching, and driving to deliver products.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
  • Must have access to an insured vehicle which can be used for delivery.
  • Possess navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within designated delivery area.
  • Must be able to navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings.
  • Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
  • Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
  • Must be able to make correct monetary change.
  • Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
  • Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed.
  • Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
  • Near and mid-range vision for most in-store tasks.
  • Depth perception.
  • Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
  • Far vision and night vision for driving.
  • Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, make judgments and decisions.
  • Standing for most tasks.
  • Walking for short distances for short durations.
  • Lifting bulk product deliveries (up to 50 pounds) and stacking onto shelves up to 72" high.
  • Carrying large cans, pizza sauce, and trays of pizza dough.
  • Pushing to move trays on dollies.
  • Infrequent climbing of stairs or ladders.
  • Forward bending at the waist.
  • Crouching/squatting occasionally to stock shelves and clean low areas.
  • Reaching continuously (up, down, and forward).
  • Driving product to customer doors.
  • Eye-hand coordination is essential.
  • Use of hands is continuous during the day, requiring frequent use of one or both hands.
  • Frequent and/or forceful use of forearms and wrists for shaping pizza dough.
  • Manipulation of a pizza peel and rolling cutter.
  • Frequent and/or forceful pinching for assembly of cardboard pizza boxes.
  • Ability to grasp cans, phone, pizza cutter, pizza peel, and pizza boxes.

Responsibilities

  • Operate all equipment.
  • Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk-in cooler.
  • Prepare product.
  • Receive and process telephone orders.
  • Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
  • Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
  • Deliver pizzas within a designated delivery area.
  • Deliver flyers and door hangers.
