Delivery Driver-Full Time
About The Position
Responsible for delivering merchandise to customers in a safe and efficient manner. This includes safely loading and unloading equipment and materials, taking and uploading digital pictures of deliveries, performing daily truck and forklift inspections, and working with delivery dates, order fulfillments, and receiving. The role also involves checking in freight and trucks, keeping the yard and warehouse stocked and cleaned, maintaining the cleanliness, neatness, and safety of the building and lot, communicating with call outs and delivery schedules, and following all safety rules and regulations. Adherence to all policies and procedures as specified in the Employee Handbook is required. Secondary functions may include unloading freight and trucks, assisting customers in selecting and loading merchandise, helping with glass and plexiglass, and assisting inside when needed.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to drive manual transmission
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Ability to work flexible hours; including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Comprehending delivery instructions to job site
- Knowledge of building materials
- Good physical condition for lifting
- Safety conscious
Nice To Haves
- H.S. Diploma or G.E.D. is preferred
- Forklift certified is preferred
