About The Position

Domino’s Pizza is hiring delivery drivers to deliver products to customers within a designated delivery area. The role offers a flexible schedule and may suit someone seeking a main job or supplemental income. Team members can pursue advancement from delivery driver to management and, potentially, franchise ownership or corporate operations. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. In addition to driving and delivering orders, team members perform general store duties, including operating equipment, stocking ingredients and supplies, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. The work involves customer and coworker communication, order entry, handling payments, and physical tasks such as carrying, lifting, reaching, and navigating stairs. Delivery work includes carrying pizzas and beverages between the store, vehicle, and customer locations, and delivering flyers and door hangers.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product.
Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
Ability to communicate verbally with customers and coworkers to process orders by telephone and in person.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly, with a calculator if needed, and make correct monetary change.
Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
Motor coordination and eye-hand coordination to make precise movements quickly and accurately.
Ability to operate a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Ability to perform physical tasks that include standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, bending, crouching, squatting, and continuous reaching and hand use.
Ability to lift and stack cases weighing up to 50 pounds, with dimensions up to 3 feet by 1.5 feet, onto shelves up to 72 inches high.
Ability to carry items including cans, pizza sauce weighing 30 pounds, and pizza dough trays weighing approximately 12 pounds each.
Ability to perform delivery walking and climbing duties while carrying pizzas and beverages; delivery may require navigating five or more flights of stairs.
Far vision and night vision for driving.
Ability to work independently and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality-control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.

Responsibilities

Deliver products by car to customers’ doors within the designated delivery area; a team member may make several deliveries per shift.
Deliver flyers and door hangers.
Navigate to addresses using maps and other navigational skills, including through adverse terrain and multi-story buildings.
Operate store equipment and stock ingredients and supplies from the delivery area to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
Prepare products and receive and process telephone orders.
Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
Communicate with customers and coworkers in person and by telephone to process orders.
Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen and handle monetary change.
Carry pizzas and beverages during deliveries and navigate between the store, vehicle, and customer locations.
Unload bulk product deliveries using a hand truck and perform associated lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling tasks.
