The main responsibility of a Domino's Pizza Delivery Driver is to deliver orders to designated locations on time using their own vehicle. Punctuality and honesty are key attributes. Delivery Drivers are expected to know how to read a basic road map and deliver orders correctly, on time, and in a courteous manner. They must also ensure their delivery vehicles are well-maintained before and after their shift. Additionally, Delivery Drivers assist in food preparation, taking customer orders, cleaning duties, and rotating food shipments which may involve lifting up to 50 pounds. They need to be knowledgeable about product details, services, charges, and other relevant customer information. The role may require working outdoors in various temperatures, in noisy environments, near moving mechanical parts, with dangerous equipment or sharp tools, and around fumes, odors, dust, or toxic chemicals. This job can be physically demanding, involving repetitive hand use, prolonged standing, bending, twisting, reaching above shoulder level, crouching, stooping, or kneeling. Some specific duties include pre-delivery vehicle preparations, learning the delivery area, checking orders for quality and accuracy, providing quality customer service, food preparation and packaging, taking orders, collecting payments, and cleaning/maintenance of the store and its equipment, as well as rotating commissary deliveries.
