About The Position
The Delivery Driver delivers products by car to customers’ doors within a designated delivery area and may also deliver flyers and door hangers. Drivers make multiple deliveries during a shift and must navigate to customer addresses, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites. The role also includes general in-store duties such as operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The job involves working in varying indoor temperatures and sometimes adverse weather, handling hot surfaces and tools, and navigating cramped spaces. Physical tasks include standing, walking, carrying deliveries and supplies, climbing stairs, and frequent reaching and hand use. Drivers must maintain their vehicle in good running condition and visually inspect tire tread daily.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record that meets company standards.
- Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
- Ability to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain and delivery sites, including multi-story buildings and private homes.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and co-workers by phone and in person.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly and make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Ability to work alone and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality-control standards, and make judgments and decisions.
- Ability to carry cases weighing up to 50 pounds; deliveries may require carrying pizzas and beverages and climbing stairs, including five or more flights.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform frequent reaching and hand tasks.
Responsibilities

- Operate equipment; stock ingredients from delivery areas into storage, work areas, and walk-in coolers; and prepare products.
- Receive and process telephone orders, take inventory, and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
- Visually inspect vehicle tires daily for proper tread wear and depth, and maintain the vehicle in good running condition.
