About The Position

This role involves operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, and handling customer orders. Responsibilities include receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, and maintaining cleanliness of equipment and the facility. Training is provided on the job. The position requires strong communication skills for interacting with customers and coworkers, both verbally and in writing. Essential functions include accurate mathematical calculations, making correct monetary change, and efficient order entry via computer or touch screen. The work environment can involve varying temperatures, from 36 degrees in the cooler to 90 degrees or above in work areas, with sudden changes. Exposure to food odors and commercial dust is possible. Cramped quarters, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts are also present. Sensory requirements include talking and hearing on the telephone, near and mid-range vision, depth perception, and differentiating hot/cold surfaces. Temperaments suited for this role include the ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze data, and make judgments and decisions. The role also includes delivering product by car to customer doors and distributing marketing materials. This requires a valid driver's license with a safe driving record, access to an insured vehicle, and navigational skills to read maps and locate addresses within a designated delivery area. Delivery personnel must navigate various sites, including multi-story buildings and private homes, while carrying product. This involves driving within a designated area, potentially making multiple deliveries per shift, and traveling between the store and the delivery vehicle, and to the customer's location. Climbing stairs (five or more flights) may be required during deliveries. Work conditions include exposure to varying weather conditions during deliveries and couponing. Far and night vision are necessary for driving.

Requirements

Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions
Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator)
Must be able to make correct monetary change
Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders
Motor coordination between eye and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed
Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen
Valid Driver License with safe driving record meeting company standards
Access to insured vehicle which can be used for delivery
Navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within designated delivery area
Must navigate adverse terrain including multy-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product
