About The Position
This role involves operating all necessary equipment, stocking ingredients from the delivery area to storage and work areas, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, and completing associated paperwork. The position also requires cleaning equipment and the facility on an approximate daily basis. Key skills include accurate arithmetic, strong verbal and written communication, motor coordination for precise movements, ability to use a computer keyboard or touch screen for order entry, and the capability to comprehend and follow written instructions. The role demands effective verbal communication with customers and co-workers for order processing, both over the phone and in person. Responsibilities extend to delivering products by car and to the customer's door, distributing flyers and door hangers, and possessing navigational skills to read maps and locate addresses within the designated delivery area. The driver must be able to navigate various terrains, including multi-story buildings and private homes, while carrying product.
Requirements
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
- Must be able to make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
- Navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within designated delivery area.
- Must navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product.
