About The Position

The Delivery Driver checks products for accuracy against quality standards and delivers orders to customers safely, courteously, and on time while working as part of a team. The role also supports restaurant operations by performing other workstation duties, such as preparing ingredients, making products, and taking orders. Team members must follow Papa John's uniform, appearance, and operating standards, as well as applicable federal, state, and local laws and ordinances.

The position requires pre-delivery vehicle preparation, learning the delivery area, checking orders, following delivery procedures, and providing positive, professional customer service in person and by phone. Drivers process order paperwork and payments, perform cash-management duties, use the PROFIT System, suggest additional items, and distribute door hangers. They help maintain safe, clean, organized work areas and contribute to a cooperative, energetic team environment.

This is an hourly, non-exempt position. Applicants must be at least 18 and meet the stated driver, vehicle, and insurance requirements. The work includes restaurant duties and delivery work outdoors in varying temperatures and may involve long or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and emergencies.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver's license, an acceptable motor vehicle record, proof of insurance with the applicant listed as a driver, and a satisfactory vehicle.
• Must be able to work long hours, scheduled or unscheduled, including nights, weekends, and emergencies.
• Must be cross-trained and able to perform other restaurant workstation duties as needed.
• Cash-management skills.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Bilingual ability in certain markets.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the vehicle before deliveries and learn the delivery area.
• Check orders for quality and accuracy and follow proper delivery procedures.
• Deliver products safely, courteously, and promptly; provide positive, professional customer service in person and by phone.
• Perform other workstation duties as assigned, including making products, preparing ingredients, and taking orders.
• Support teammates by arriving on time, assisting at other workstations, and completing closing duties, including cleaning.
• Follow uniform, appearance, operations, safety, and security standards.
• Accurately process order paperwork and payment transactions, perform cash-management duties, and use the PROFIT System.
• Suggestively sell when taking orders and distribute door hangers during every shift.
• Maintain organized, safe, and clean work areas and help foster teamwork, energy, and fun.
