About The Position
This role involves operating all necessary equipment, stocking ingredients from delivery areas to storage and work areas, and preparing products. The Delivery Driver will also be responsible for receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing associated paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility on an approximate daily basis. Key skills include accurate and quick calculation abilities (with or without a calculator), making correct monetary change, and strong verbal, writing, and telephone communication skills for order processing. Motor coordination for precise and rapid hand-eye movements, the ability to use a computer keyboard or touch screen for order entry, and the capacity to comprehend and follow written instructions are essential. The role requires verbal communication with customers and co-workers for order processing, both over the phone and in person. Responsibilities include delivering products by car to the customer's door, distributing flyers and door hangers, and possessing navigational skills to read maps and locate addresses within a designated delivery area. The driver must be able to navigate various terrains, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product.
Requirements
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
- Must be able to make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
- Navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within designated delivery area.
