About The Position

The key responsibilities of this position are outside sales of propane gas to residential, commercial and farm accounts from initial contact through to delivery, which may include tank setting and service. This role involves delivering propane to customer locations efficiently, punctually, and safely, while also building a customer base within the sales territory through various sales techniques, including prospecting via cold calls. The position requires operating a truck according to safety procedures, preparing and maintaining records, and potentially providing backup to the Energy department.

Requirements

Acceptable driving record
Class A or B CDL
Hazmat and Tanker endorsements or ability to quickly obtain
Proficient computer skills
Proficient verbal and written communication skills
Detail oriented and ability to prioritize

Nice To Haves

Outside sales experience and territory knowledge is a plus

Responsibilities

Deliver propane to customer locations in an efficient, punctual and safe manner
During daily interaction with customers, provide exceptional customer service by supplying service information and answering inquires
Build customer base within sales territory by utilizing various sales techniques, including prospecting (cold calls)
Prepare and maintain records in accordance with regulations and company procedures
Operate truck in accordance to established safety procedures
Perform installation, removal and service as needed
Provide back up to Energy department as needed
