About The Position

The Delivery Driver is responsible for collecting payments, ensuring product accuracy and quality, and delivering items to customers in a safe and timely manner. This role also involves upholding company standards, promoting products, and contributing to a positive team environment. Cross-training in various store operations is expected, including food preparation, opening/closing procedures, and customer service. The driver will also handle phone orders, inventory, and daily cleaning tasks.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record, meeting company standards.
• Must have access to an insured vehicle which can be used for delivery.
• Must be listed as an insured driver on this vehicle.
• Possess navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within designated delivery areas and must be able to navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
• Must be able to make correct monetary change.
• Must be able to operate all equipment.
• Must pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Collect cash/credit card payments and coupons for delivered items.
• Check all products for accuracy against quality standards for delivery and carry out customers in a safe and timely manner.
• Ensure vehicle used for delivery passes inspection, both mechanically and visually.
• Uphold company standards of grooming, uniform, and appearance.
• Promote pizza products, specials, and promotions.
• Receive cross-training for preparing products and ingredients, closing and opening procedures, operate pizza oven, and properly box products for delivery or carryout.
• Exhibit a sense of urgency when answering store phone lines or helping carryout customers.
• Provide quality customer service to internal and external customers both over the phone and in person.
• Ability to speak and write clearly and comprehension of using a computer based order entry system.
• Contribute to and promote an atmosphere of teamwork, energy, and fun.
• Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk-in-cooler.
• Prepare product.
• Receive and process telephone orders.
• Take inventory and complete associate paperwork.
• Clean equipment and facility daily.
