About The Position
Domino’s Pizza is hiring delivery drivers to staff local stores. The role offers a flexible schedule and may suit someone seeking a primary or supplemental job. Drivers deliver orders by car to customers and may also deliver flyers and door hangers. Team members can have opportunities to advance into management and other roles. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. In addition to delivery duties, store team members operate equipment; stock ingredients and supplies; prepare products; receive and process telephone orders; take inventory and complete paperwork; and clean equipment and the facility. The role involves working in a fast-paced store environment with food preparation, customer service, and delivery tasks.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record that meets company standards.
- Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
- Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions, and communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders in person and over the phone.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly, and make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination to make precise movements rapidly and accurately, and ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Ability to perform the physical duties described, including carrying products during deliveries and navigating stairs; delivery may require climbing five or more flights of stairs.
Responsibilities
- Deliver products by car to customers’ doors within a designated delivery area; several deliveries may be made during a shift.
- Deliver flyers and door hangers.
- Operate store equipment and stock ingredients and supplies in storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
- Prepare products and receive and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
- Use navigational skills to locate addresses and navigate delivery sites, including multi-story buildings and adverse terrain.
