About The Position
School Food Delivery Driver – Help Fuel Young Minds! Join our school nutrition team as a Delivery Driver and play a vital role in ensuring students receive the meals they need to learn and thrive! This role offers a family-friendly schedule, with work completed by mid-afternoon, Monday through Friday, with no nights or weekends required. You will be responsible for safely driving a company vehicle to deliver food and supplies between schools in the district, loading and unloading products with care, performing daily vehicle inspections, keeping the delivery vehicle clean, and communicating with the central office as needed. Follow all local driving laws and school district policies.
Requirements
- A clean, valid driver’s license and a safe driving record
- Dependability and strong attention to detail
- Comfort with lifting and moving supplies
- A proactive attitude and willingness to follow safety guidelines
- Professionalism when interacting at school sites
- High School diploma required
- Clean unblemished drivers license required
- ServSafe certification
- Speak, read and write in English required
- 1 year driving in professional role required
Responsibilities
- Safely drive a company vehicle to deliver food and supplies between schools in the district
- Load and unload products with care, ensuring proper storage and delivery
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and keep accurate logs and reports
- Keep the delivery vehicle clean and in excellent working condition
- Communicate with the central office as needed to ensure timely, accurate deliveries
- Follow all local driving laws and school district policies
