About The Position
The Delivery Driver delivers products by car to customers’ doors and distributes flyers and door hangers. Drivers may make several deliveries per shift within a designated delivery area. The role also includes the general duties and working conditions applicable to hourly store team members, including operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility approximately daily. Orientation and training are provided on the job. The position involves driving and traveling between the store, delivery vehicle, and customer locations, sometimes navigating adverse terrain, multi-story buildings, private homes, and five or more flights of stairs. Drivers carry pizzas, sides, and beverages during deliveries and may encounter varying or adverse weather conditions.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record that meets company standards.
- Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
- Ability to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites, while carrying products.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and co-workers.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly and make correct monetary change.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including carrying delivery products and navigating stairs; delivery may involve five or more flights of stairs.
- Far and night vision for driving.
Responsibilities
