About The Position

The Delivery Specialist delivers purchased merchandise to customers within an assigned market while meeting delivery and quality standards. The role provides a positive customer experience by building trusted relationships, offering advice, ensuring safe delivery, resolving problems, and handling product returns as needed. The position involves operating and maintaining a delivery vehicle and related equipment, loading and unloading merchandise, communicating with customers and store teams, and following safe driving practices. Deliveries are made in all weather and road conditions.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have at least 3 years of driving experience and meet motor vehicle record check requirements.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Must be able to move throughout store and outdoor areas quickly and safely.
• Must be able to push and pull merchandise weighing up to 2,000 pounds with proper material-handling equipment.
• Must be able to lift and move large, bulky, and/or heavy merchandise and safely load and unload a delivery truck.
• Must be able to operate job-related equipment safely, efficiently, properly, and accurately.
• Must have strong time-management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Must have strong customer service skills and a professional, friendly attitude.
• Must communicate effectively in writing and verbally with customers and team members.
• Must be able to read, write, and count accurately to complete documentation.
• Must be able to navigate using GPS systems and maps.
• Must successfully complete required training.
• Must be flexible to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required.
• A DOT Medical Card is required as applicable.

Nice To Haves

• Previous truck delivery experience.
• Experience using a hand truck, dolly, pallet jack, and forklift.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to use Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Calendar.

Responsibilities

• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Make timely deliveries that meet or exceed scheduled delivery times.
• Operate and maintain a clean, organized delivery vehicle and delivery equipment, including a trailer at times.
• Load, unload, and organize products safely and efficiently.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Keep accurate records of deliveries and related issues.
• Communicate with customers about delivery updates or concerns.
• Provide exceptional, friendly customer service.
• Partner with field sales teams and store personnel to meet customer needs.
• Handle products carefully to prevent damage and ensure safe transport.
• Follow traffic laws and company policies for safe driving.
• Handle returns, exchanges, and customer inquiries as needed.
• Complete other duties assigned by a supervisor.
