Delivery Driver - The Goods - NJ/NY
About The Position
Slice's "The Goods" seeks to solve the challenge of buying affordable, high-quality supplies for local independent restaurants. This role involves delivering these supplies, such as pizza boxes, paper bags, and plastic cutlery kits, to our customers via Slice delivery vans. The position requires experience delivering in New York City's five boroughs, maintaining a positive and professional attitude with customers, and assisting in the warehouse with tasks like pick/pack, inventory, and staging when not driving. The goal is to empower local restaurant owners with the technology and services they need to better serve their customers and build lasting businesses.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of delivery or other relevant experience
- Valid US Driver's License + clean driving record
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members & customers
- Physically capable of lifting ~50 lbs, and engaging in physical work safely for the duration of the shift; this includes standing, crouching, bending & reaching
- Reliable attendance on working days
Nice To Haves
- Fluent Spanish speaking skills are a plus!
Responsibilities
- Delivering supplies (ex: pizza boxes, paper bags, plastic cutlery kits) to our customers via Slice delivery vans
- Experience delivering in New York City's five boroughs
- Maintaining a positive & professional attitude when interacting with customers
- When not driving, assist the warehouse as needed (pick/pack, inventory pull and stage, unloading, palletizing) and help maintain a safe, clean workspace
