Requirements

  • Pass a pre-employment background check and drug testing.
  • Be available to work from 6:00 am until 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
  • High School Diploma or its equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (Illinois Class C license)
  • Critical thinker, using logic and reasoning to identify alternative solutions
  • Mathematical reasoning- ability to choose the right method or formulas to solve a problem
  • Ability to learn Eclipse software
  • Must be very detail-oriented and focused on accuracy
  • Ability to perform assignments with minimal supervision and under tight deadlines
  • Must have strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Must maintain a patient and professional attitude while managing a busy workload
  • Strong organizational skills are required
  • Must be able to determine and prioritize workload

Responsibilities

  • Prepares truck for operation by inspecting general condition: check fluid levels and tire pressure; notify the Branch Manager before obtaining or scheduling required repairs.
  • Maintains truck operating efficiency by completing preventative maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and scheduling repairs
  • Loads delivery truck with product securely, avoiding damage
  • Delivers items by identifying destinations, establishing a route, operating the truck, unloading items, and maintaining a schedule
  • Uses a cell phone to report on the progress of deliveries
  • Picks up return items for the company
  • Verifies products delivered against the packing slip and has the customer sign the receipt.
  • Serves customers by understanding and resolving or forwarding complaints
  • Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests
  • Efficient and effective loading and unloading of trucks.
  • Inspects materials according to instructions and reports damaged goods.
  • Process inbound materials to the warehouse. Compare quantities shown on the packing slip or manifests with the actual items received.
  • Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to sequence, such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
  • Ensures materials are placed in the designated area within the warehouse.
  • Stacks skids or pallets in the designated area. Cleans up and disposes of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping, and places them in a proper container or designated area.
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment by keeping racks, shelves, pallet area, workstations, and counter area neat; maintaining a clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • General housekeeping: sweeping, mopping, dusting, and emptying trash.
