About The Position

This role involves transporting materials to customers and performing warehouse associate duties. The primary responsibilities include safely driving a truck or van to deliver materials, verifying loads, obtaining receipts, scanning deliveries, and maintaining truck logs. The position also requires determining the best delivery routes, recording delivery information, and inspecting truck equipment. Additionally, the role involves performing physical tasks to move inventory in the warehouse, loading and unloading trucks, and operating warehouse equipment safely. Material handler responsibilities may also be assigned. The role also emphasizes promoting good customer relations, identifying sales opportunities, and communicating customer feedback to management.

Requirements

Must pass DOT medical exam.
Steel toed boots required.

Responsibilities

Safely drive truck or van to transport materials within specified area.
Verify loads against shipping papers.
Obtain signed receipts for material delivered.
Scan each delivery into system before leaving the warehouse.
Maintain truck log according to state and federal regulations.
Determine best route for effective delivery of product that will satisfy customers' expectations of a timely delivery.
Record delivery information.
Inspect truck equipment and supplies as required, and immediately report any deficiencies to ensure safe operation.
Perform any and all physical requirements necessary to lift and move inventory around the warehouse, as well as load and unload trucks.
Operate and maneuver warehouse equipment and any material(s) contained thereon in the manner consistent with the intended purpose of the equipment and the manufacturers’ instructions.
Follow all Company safety procedures.
May perform Material Handler responsibilities when not engaged in primary responsibilities.
Promote and maintain good customer relations.
May promote new sales as opportunities arise.
Take an active role in communicating customer feedback to Company management, including customer complaints, requests, returns, performance, competitive information, and potential opportunities.
