About The Position

Mid-City Electric is seeking a Delivery Driver/Warehouse Assistant to join their team. This role involves loading and unloading delivery vehicles, transporting orders to job locations, and performing various warehouse tasks such as receiving shipments, organizing tools, picking orders, and assisting with inventory management. The position also requires maintaining a clean and safe warehouse environment, performing equipment checks, and adhering to safety regulations. Accurate record-keeping of deliveries, routes, and inventory transactions is essential.

Requirements

Must have a valid driver's license
A clean driving record
Must be comfortable operating up to a 30ft trailer or box truck
Ability to lift heavy items up to 50-75 lbs.

Responsibilities

Load and unload delivery vehicles accurately and safely with electrical materials, components, and or tools, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
Transport and deliver orders promptly to job locations, and or, electricians, while providing courteous service during drop-offs and pick-ups.
Perform warehouse tasks when not on the road, such as receiving shipments, organizing and stocking company owned tools, picking and staging orders, and maintaining accurate records.
Assist with inventory management, including counting stock, processing returns, and ensuring shelves are organized for efficient order fulfillment.
Maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment, perform equipment checks, and adhere to all safety regulations, including safe driving practices and traffic laws.
Keep detailed records of deliveries, routes, and inventory transactions to support accurate tracking.
