About The Position

Pepsi Bottling Ventures is seeking a Trainee-DOT to join their team. Pepsi Bottling Ventures is the nation’s largest private bottler and distributor of Pepsi beverages, operating in NC, SC, MD, & DE. They are jointly owned by Suntory and PepsiCo, with a legacy of providing PepsiCo products to the Carolinas and beyond. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Zero (0) to two (2) years of commercial driving experience with a CDL - Class A
  • Class A CDL required.
  • Must be able to pass a DOT physical prior to first day of employment.
  • Positive attitude and must be detail oriented.
  • Perform basic financial calculations, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Must be able to meet PBV driving qualifications.
  • Must be able to work hours necessary to complete assigned tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts pre/post-trip inspection on truck according to DOT requirements and promptly reports problems to the fleet department.
  • Safely drives and maneuvers a truck having a gross vehicle weight of under or over 26,000 pounds.
  • Safely unloads product, ensuring proper check-in procedures.
  • Stocks shelves, racks, coolers, and displays, ensuring proper rotation.
  • Breaks down boxes and removes flats, damages, and empty cases to ensure proper credit is given.
  • Obtains required signatures, store stamps, and invoices to ensure proper settlement at the end of the day.
  • Communicates issues to appropriate store personnel and management.
  • Follows all DOT and FMCSA regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
